“We the People…”

“We the people of the State of North Carolina, grateful to Almighty God, the Sovereign Ruler of Nations, for the preservation of the American Union and the existence of our civil, political, and religious liberties, and acknowledging our dependence upon Him for the continuance of the blessings to us and our posterity, do for the more certain security thereof, and for the better government of our State, ordain and establish this Constitution” North Carolina Constitution Preamble

“We the people of the State of New York, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, do establish this Constitution” New York Constitution Preamble

“We the people of of the State of California, grateful to Almighty God for our freedom, in order to secure and perpetuate its blessings, do establish this Constitution.” California Constitution Preamble

“We the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberties, and humbly invoking His guidance, do ordain and establish this Constitution.” Pennsylvania Constitution Preamble

Why did I give these beginning paragraphs of these State Constitutions? They are evidence that even the most progressive (in destroying liberties their Constitutions were to protect) States at the present time acknowledge that their freedom comes from Almighty God and that He is a necessity to maintain them. As John Adam’s said, “our Constitution is established for only a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”

Morality and virtue were core to the society of those who laid the foundation of the American form of government. Clearly many individuals did not live up to these standards but I am speaking of the American culture. They understood, even though they may not have been Christian, that the religious idea’s of Christianity (and the Bible itself) were essential to the preservation of a civilized and prosperous nation.

We must remember though that religion and morality were not and are not to be legislated by a government. They exist only to protect the rights God Himself has endowed all men with. We, the society, are responsible for sustaining and preserving it to be moral and virtuous. For this to manifest, or rather to be restored, there is no greater treaties on these subjects than the Commandments of God and the teachings of Jesus, and later his disciples. God instructed those who would cleave to Him to “teach them diligently to your children. Speak of them when you lie down and when you rise up…that it may go well with you.” He even commanded those that would be king to write them himself and study them all the days of their life. They are the corner stones of prosperity and freedom.

But sadly, by a small minority, these most necessary principles have been swept away and have been either corrupted or despised. Morality is no longer static and unmovable but is now progressive and ever changing to give acceptance to man’s vices and temptations. Morality, just as the laws of nature, exists to prevent chaos. They cannot change or what they uphold will collapse. And there is no greater evidence than what was poisoned the water of the United States.

So, now, just as those people who established the Constitutions above and in each State, “We the People” must remember and proclaim with gratitude that Almighty God has given our liberties. But these liberties can only be retained through the moral code given by that same God.

The acceptance of open perversion is embraced in general by both beloved Parties. They either are carried along with the current or gleefully create Tsunamis to completely decimate this nation. But their is a Party that stands boldly for those bedrocks we must with haste strive to recover. And that is The Constitution Party. Let us join together and fight for the nation we desire for our children!
